Rock Bottom is a Decision, Not a Place

ONE QUESTION
What bothers me about me?
ONE THING TO PONDER
Discipline in the right things is what self care looks like in the moment.
ONE PERSPECTIVE
Do you want more freedom in your life?
The path is to take on MORE responsibility, not less.
Freedom comes from taking on responsibility, not evading it.
Our struggle is real. The unfairness is brutal. We have every right to be angry.
The pain we’ve carried? Valid.
The injustice we've faced? Real.
The ways life has failed us? Undeniable.
I'm not here to minimize any of it. But I am here to ask you the question nobody else will:
How long will we let it define us?
When we blame others for our circumstances—the government, the economy, our boss, our parents—we hand over the only real power we have.
Being right doesn't set us free. It keeps us chained to what happened.
Every time we defend why we can't move forward, we're cementing ourselves in place.
We’re not honoring that pain, we're becoming it.
Complaining about our struggles feels productive, but it's actually stealing our power.
Wherever we point the finger is where power follows.
Every time we avoid difficult work, our income shrinks and our options vanish.
Every day we ignore our health, our mobility declines and our world gets smaller.
Each moment spent blaming, our victim mentality deepens and solutions disappear.
The Path Forward
You've been wronged. You've been hurt. You've been dealt an unfair hand.
I see you. I believe you.
But at some point, we have to choose ourselves over being right. Being right about our suffering won't heal us.
Only deciding to move forward will.
Stop waiting for the world to apologize. It won't.
Stop waiting to feel ready. We never will.
Stop waiting for permission to let go.
Onward and upward!
