Resistance Perpetuates, Acceptance Alleviates

ONE QUESTION
What would my definition of success be if money and ‘followers’ weren’t part of the equation?
ONE THING TO PONDER
Instead of applying ourselves, instead of meaningful work, instead of doing what would be best for us, we simply consume products.
ONE PERSPECTIVE
Every major breakthrough in your life likely came after accepting something you initially resisted.
Have you ever found yourself lying awake at night, fighting against a reality you desperately wish was different? That promotion you didn't get. The relationship that ended. The business goal that feels further away than ever.
Here's the paradox: The more we resist what is, the more we suffer.
What happens in the moment where you resist the truth that you can’t change?
Typically, what shows up is that what you resist only persists, and it magnifies over time.
There is a Hidden Cost of Resistance
When we resist our current reality:
Emotions become more intense and overwhelming
Solutions remain hidden behind our frustration
Progress becomes impossible because we're fighting where we are instead of moving forward
Resisting the reality of any of these only puts more pressure and more focus on what you don’t want or don’t like.
Logically it makes sense to try and push back. But remember that pushing back is ultimately trying to change something that currently exists, yet has no impact on changing it.
What We Need to Accept:
Your business's current position
Your emotional landscape
Your health status
Your financial reality
You can't get directions to your destination if you refuse to acknowledge your starting point.
If you can’t change something on the outside, you’re left with one option - to change how you experience it on the inside.
The more experience I gain in hardships, in emotional challenges, in results that I’m not happy about, the more I realize that I have 2 options:
Accept and Act: Acknowledge reality and channel energy into doing something
Resist and Repeat: Fight against what is and remain stuck in the struggle
One option gives me the power to affect change, the other option is to ensure that I keep fighting against what is true.
Challenges, struggles, and hard emotions aren’t necessarily an indication that it’s wrong, it’s just proof that something has to die in order for something new and better to enter our worlds.
It may sound counterintuitive, yet the hardest things you go THROUGH (not around) become your greatest teachers. They're not roadblocks—they're doorways to your next level of growth.
Your Path Forward
Next time you feel that urge to resist what is:
Pause and acknowledge your current reality
Ask yourself: "What opportunities might this situation be creating?"
Choose acceptance as your starting point for change
Remember: Acceptance isn't weakness—it's the foundation of all meaningful change.
I’ll see you along the way!
Onward and upward!
