Fatigue that Sleep Can’t Fix

ONE QUESTION
Rather than asking “What do I want?” Maybe the better question is “What is best for me?” They aren’t necessarily the same thing.
ONE THING TO PONDER
There are two ways to get to the top:
1. Insecurity
2. Confidence
The one you utilize dictates the joy you’ll experience along the way.
ONE PERSPECTIVE
Maybe our fatigue isn’t a problem to fix, but a message trying to sneak through the cracks.
I’ve been tired for years. It seemed obvious, if I’m tired, I need more rest, I need to sleep better, I need to eat better.
But the fatigue I experienced wasn’t just “tiredness,” my soul was tired of being something I wasn’t.
It’s a living hell once you realize you’ve become a different version of yourself for the approval of others.
Ever wonder why you no longer have passion, that fire, the energy you used to have?
The truth is that the fire isn’t gone, it’s just trapped underneath everything we're afraid to feel or want to protect others from seeing.
How much of your time is being poured into things you hate and people you know aren't yours to be around?
We all see it, just because we can’t articulate it on the surface doesn’t mean it’s not there.
We smile, yet the smile doesn’t resonate with what is actually true.
We show up, but aren’t present where we are.
We hang out with people because of what we can selfishly ‘gain,’ yet know it’s not the people that give us energy…That’s a waste of expensive energy!
It’s not words that inform us something’s off:
It’s tight shoulders..
It aches in the body…
It’s feeling drained even when you’re getting sleep.
Our souls are screaming for freedom in a world that performs for validation.
We’re dying to be authentic but scared shitless to be exposed…those two things can’t coexist.
Seeking The Truth
What are you unconsciously loyal to, that in 15 years you’ll look back and ask “What the hell was I thinking?”
The truth…many are having an identity crisis but actually fear escaping it.
It's similar to Shawshank Redemption….when you’ve been in a particular place for so long, it’s easier to stay in prison than to have freedom to choose.

Maybe we’re not supposed to feel motivated at this stage, maybe we have to allow the fake version of us to die so the real version can flourish.
Not all tiredness is supposed to be cured, some of it is supposed to be heard.
Tiredness can be a compass. It can point us in the right direction because we simply can’t continue faking our way through life that wasn’t meant for us.
Sometimes we don’t need a better mindset, we need a better map.
We’re not tired of life, we’re tired of surviving a life that simply isn’t ours.
Energy returns when the false self dies.
The Path Forward
We’re not lazy, we’re just over being the fake version of ourselves.
We’re not broken, just tired of bullshitting ourselves. We’re tired of being the person we were never meant to be.
How many no’s are you still withholding?
How many yes’s are long overdue?
Start there, that’s the start of the journey!
Onward and upward!

Standing Your Ground: A Story of Perseverance with Sage Steele
The Ed Mylett Show
This conversation is a powerful reminder that perseverance isn’t loud or glamorous, it’s quiet, steady, and often uncomfortable. Standing your ground requires clarity about who you are, what you value, and the discipline to hold that line even when pressure builds around you. The people who build meaningful lives and businesses aren’t the ones who avoid adversity, they’re the ones who stay aligned through it. |
