Comfort is Your Cage

ONE QUESTION
If nobody could see your achievements, would you still be chasing the same thing?
ONE THING TO PONDER
Achievement without meaning is just polished emptiness
ONE PERSPECTIVE
The version of you that got you here is the exact version holding you back..
One of the biggest battles you'll ever fight is becoming a different version of yourself. And here's the paradox: we're all inspired to change, yet we fiercely defend the idea that we don't need to.
And you know what? You're right. You don't need to change.
But if we want something different—a different life, different results, different feelings—tell me how happens by staying the same person. It's not going to happen. It can't.
We either change who we're willing to be, or change what we desire.
We simply can’t have both.
We're amazing at maintaining an image to fit in while we wither away feeling even more disconnected.
We want the dream life but refuse to leave the cage.
We want success, freedom, respect...yet we prioritize safety and comfort…wondering why nothing ever changes while refusing to look in the mirror.
Here's where we get it twisted:
We think we deserve results because we "work hard."
We think effort equals outcome.
We think the universe owes us something because the journey was difficult.
It doesn't. And it never will.
Entitlement is suffocating us. It keeps us stuck, bitter, and small.
This is your permission slip to stop bullshitting yourself.
Because every lie we tell ourselves, every excuse we make, every time we defend the old version of ourselves—it's not protecting us. It's imprisoning us.
The truth will set you free, but first it's going to make you uncomfortable.
And until you're willing to kill off the old version of you, the new you will never have room to breathe.
The choice has always been yours:
Change who you're willing to be, or change what you want.
Pick one. We don't get both.
I'll see the brave ones along the way.
Onward and upward!

How to Overcome Inner Resistance
Huberman Lab
This was a super fascinating listen. There is some depth to it as it discusses how resistance shows up in our world, particularly in our pursuit of what we believe to be right, but all the distractions and doubt keep us from following that pull. We can build our days differently, eliminate challenges that we’ll likely see, and find our path to do our most meaningful and valuable work. Well worth the listen! | ![]() |
